My dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Each year, the Pastoral Services Appeal (PSA) of the Diocese of Orange gives us the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in our Diocese and beyond. Your generous support helps fund vital ministries such as retirement care for our beloved diocesan priests; ongoing formation for seminarians, priests, and deacons; training for lay ministers; and education for thousands of families through our Catholic schools. For 2026, the estimated PSA goal for Christ Cathedral Parish is $200,000.
Every dollar raised beyond this year’s PSA goal comes directly back to Christ Cathedral Parish for our own parish needs. Today, together with my brother priests—Fr. Juan, Fr. Ian, and Fr. Khoi—I humbly ask you, first, to help us reach our 2026 PSA goal of $200,000, and second, to help us raise one million dollars beyond that goal. With your generous gift of $1 million, we will be able to make three important projects a reality here at Christ Cathedral Parish. These projects are not merely about buildings or systems; they are about prayer, hospitality, and love for the future of our Cathedral.
First: A 24/7 Perpetual Adoration Chapel. Imagine this for a moment: day or night, early morning or late evening, in moments of joy or times when your heart feels heavy, you can come and sit quietly with Jesus in the Eucharist. Our dream is to build a Perpetual Adoration Chapel—open 24 hours a day, seven days a week—right here on our campus. It will be a sacred place where the Blessed Sacrament is always exposed, and Christ is always waiting. After visiting the Shroud of Turin exhibit in our Cultural Center, visitors could stop by the chapel to pray in silence—no words, just hearts speaking to the Heart of Jesus. Estimated cost: $200,000.
Second: A Fiber-Optic Cable System Around the Cathedral. We need to install a fiber-optic cable system around the Cathedral to better support communication, livestreaming, and parish ministries. The greatest cost is not the cable itself, but the digging, construction, and installation throughout the property. This project prepares our Cathedral to serve God’s people well—today and into the future. Estimated cost: $400,000.
Third: One More Room and Private Chapel in the Priests’ House. Currently, our priests’ house has just enough rooms for the four of us. However, when guest priests come to preach retreats, lead Lenten or Advent missions, or simply visit our beautiful Cathedral, we have no additional space to accommodate them. As a result, we send them to hotels or ask parishioners to host them. This project is about hospitality, welcoming those who come to serve God’s people here. Estimated cost: $400,000.
The total: $1.2 Million. That sounds like a lot, doesn’t it? Can we do it? Yes, absolutely—with God’s help and with your generosity. How can we achieve this? Very simply. Here is the beautiful part: We have approximately 5,000 registered families. We humbly ask each family to donate $300 toward your 2026 PSA on or before March 31, 2026. That is about 82 cents a day—less than one dollar. If 80% of our families participate, about 4,000 families, we will reach $1.2 million. Small sacrifices of less than one dollar a day, when united, become something extraordinary. Any donation you are able to give, in whatever amount, is deeply appreciated. When we respond to this call, we bring hope to one another and discover joy in our own hearts. Please know that you and your family are truly God’s joy and blessing to us and our Christ Cathedral Parish.

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas en Cristo:
Cada año, la Campaña de Servicios Pastorales (Pastoral Services Appeal – PSA, por sus siglas en inglés) de la Diócesis de Orange nos brinda la oportunidad de ser las manos y los pies de Jesucristo en nuestra Diócesis y más allá. Su generoso apoyo ayuda a financiar ministerios vitales como el cuidado de jubilación de nuestros queridos sacerdotes diocesanos; la formación continua de seminaristas, sacerdotes y diáconos; la capacitación de ministros laicos; y la educación de miles de familias a través de nuestras escuelas católicas. Para el año 2026, la meta estimada del PSA de la Parroquia de la Catedral de Cristo es de $200,000.
Cada dólar recaudado por encima de la meta anual del PSA regresa directamente a la Parroquia de la Catedral de Cristo para nuestras propias necesidades parroquiales.
