A Look Ahead

In July 2019, the diocese celebrated the Dedication of Christ Cathedral and the completion of its renovation by architectural firm Johnson Fain. Work continues as the transformation of the campus, its facilities and its world renown architecture nears completion. The campus will serve as a spiritual home to Orange County’s more than 1.3 million Catholics and also serve the local community through its extensive roster of services and programs available to everyone. Currently the Arboretum sanctuary is the temporary home to more than 10,000 members of the Christ Cathedral Parish with Masses taking place in English, Vietnamese, and Spanish. Many other events take place within the Arboretum; weddings, conferences, concerts, and family friendly events. Christ Cathedral Parish will eventually move from the Arboretum into Christ Cathedral.

All visitors, wherever they may be on their own personal journeys of faith, are welcome to visit the Christ Cathedral Campus.

“Once the project is completed, this will be one of the most important Catholic properties in California, if not the world.”
