SUMMARY:AI Ethics & Antiqua et Nova Workshop
DESCRIPTION:  \n \nSponsored by Diaconate Office\, Diocese of Orange \nSchedule:\nSession I: 3:30 PM Al Ethics\nBreak: 5:00 PM Dinner on your own\nSession II: 7:00 PM Digital Advancements and the Church’s Mission Today \nRegistration Link: (Click Here) \nSession I: Ai Ethics: A God-Centered Vision \nAl Ethics reflects both the vast potential and the ethical challenges of artificial intelligence. At its core\, it asks how AI can support human values like freedom\, dignity\, and relationality\, all rooted in our identity as people created in the image of God. \nThe new Vatican document presents AI not as an end in itself\, but as a tool to serve the human person and promote the common good. From a God-centered view\, technology must never replace humanity\, but support our shared call to communion with God and one another. \nThis vision grounds innovation in justice\, solidarity\, and care for all\, ensuring AI serves true human and spiritual flourishing. \n  \nSession II: Digital Advancements and the Church’s Mission Today \nThis presentation explores how digital innovation is reshaping the Church’s mission in the modern world. It highlights new methods of evangelization and pastoral outreach made possible by technology\, examines the challenges of engaging faith communities online\, and reflects on the ethical and spiritual considerations that arise in an increasingly digital age. \n  \nFr. Roman Susha is a priest of the Archdiocese of Minsk-Mohilev (Belarus) and a lecturer at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Saint Bonaventure – Seraphicum in Rome\, where he has lived for nearly a decade. He holds two doctorates-one in Dogmatic Theology and another in Spirituality-as well as a master’s degree in social sciences. Recently\, he received a papal award for his writing on Mythodesign in the Digital Age: An Ethical and Psychosocial Investigation of Political Technology.
