HAPPY EASTER! ALLELUIA! ALLELUIA!
Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Risen Christ,
“Since Christ accomplished his work of human redemption and of the perfect glorification of God principally through his Paschal Mystery, in which by dying he has destroyed our death, and by rising restored our life, the sacred Paschal Triduum of the Passion and Resurrection of the Lord shines forth as the high point of the entire liturgical year.” (Universal Norms on the Liturgical Year and the Calendar, #18).
Easter is the greatest and most significant feast in the Church. The Resurrection of Christ is the foundation of our Christian faith. It is the greatest of all signs and miracles because it proves that “Jesus is Lord, and he has risen” (Romans 10:9). That is why St. Paul says, “If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain, and your faith is in vain” (1 Cor 15:14). Let us celebrate and be delighted, saying Alleluia, for the Lord has risen from the dead!
To all at Christ Cathedral and beyond, on behalf of Bishop Kevin Vann, the Shepherd of our Diocese, and the Pastor of Christ Cathedral, and together with my fellow Clergymen, Religious, Staff, and Faculty of the Cathedral and Academy, we pray that through the intercessions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, and Saint Callistus, may God grant you a joyous, love-filled, and grace-filled season of Jesus Christ’s Resurrection from the grave. We are very grateful to you for your constant prayer, time, talent, treasure, and loving support for the Cathedral. May the Risen Lord reward you for your generosity and love for our Cathedral. We hope to see you again next Sunday! “God loves you and so do I” (Rev. Dr. Robert H. Schuller).
HAPPY EASTER! ALLELUIA! ALLELUIA!
